Digital Games Tax Offset
Eligible Australian game developers can receive a 30% refundable tax offset, capped at $20 million, for spending a minimum of $500,000 on QADE related to the development of eligible games.
The Digital Games Tax Offset (DGTO) offers a 30% refundable tax offset for qualifying Australian development expenditure (QADE) from 1 July 2022 for eligible game developers. The offset is available for the completion, ongoing development, or porting of digital games, subject to eligibility criteria, including certification by the Arts Minister and at least $500,000 of qualifying expenditure. The offset is capped at $20 million per company (or group of connected or affiliated companies) per income year. Applicants must have an an ABN and be either an Australian resident company or a foreign resident company with a permanent establishment in Australia.
Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship
$500,000 - $1 million
The program supports investment in gender equity initiatives that aim for lasting systemic change and eliminating barriers for women’s participation in STEM education and careers, and entrepreneurship, building on the Australian Government’s Advancing Women in STEM strategy and the Women in STEM Decadal Plan, which was developed by the Australian Academy of Science and Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.
Modern Manufacturing Initiative – Manufacturing Translation Stream
$1 million - $20 million
The Manufacturing Translation Stream provides businesses with funding to support projects that translate high quality research into commercial outcomes and support businesses to scale-up and be more competitive and resilient. It provides co-funding to support businesses to adopt new technologies and improve their manufacturing processes to boost productivity and competitiveness.
Funding Round: Regional Job Creation Fund NSW
$100,000 - $10 million
The $100 million Regional Job Creation Fund will help businesses in engine industries to withstand the impact of these shocks by co-funding projects that initiate or accelerate investment, create jobs and support economic recovery and resilience in regional NSW.
Cyber Security Skills Partnership Innovation Fund
$250,000 - $3 million
The $70.3 million Cyber Security Skills Partnership Innovation Fund forms part of Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy 2020, Cyber Security National Workforce Growth Program, and was developed in recognition that skilled cyber professionals are essential for keeping Australians secure online, and to underpin government and industry capability and capacity.
Activating a Regional Hydrogen Industry – Clean Hydrogen Industrial Hubs: Hub Implementation
$30 million - $70 million
This program aims to support the establishment of hydrogen hubs in regional Australia, and support the growth of the clean hydrogen industry.
Modern Manufacturing Initiative – Manufacturing Collaboration Stream
$20 million - $200 million
The Manufacturing Collaboration Stream provides funding for a small number of large, transformational projects. Projects that will either directly feature collaboration or will create and facilitate collaborative ecosystems.
Supply Chain Resilience Initiative – Round 2
$50,000 - $2 million
The $107 million Supply Chain Resilience Initiative (SCRI) that was established to be part of the Australian Government’s $1.5 billion Modern Manufacturing Strategy.
This grant aims to strengthen Australia’s ability to access critical products and inputs, better enabling us to respond to future supply chain disruptions.
AMGC Commercialisation Fund
$100,000 - $1 million
The $30 million Commercialisation Fund aims to provide grants to Australian companies to help in commercialising new processes and products based upon new or existing IP for projects with a maximum project period of two years.
