ACT Energy Innovation Fund
$20,000 to $1,000,000
The ACT Government's Energy Innovation Fund is driving the ACT's transition to a net-zero energy economy by supporting innovative energy technologies and solutions. $19 million has been allocated to the EIF following the fifth round of the ACT renewables auction, which helps maintain the ACT's 100% renewable electricity target. The EIF is administered by the ACT Government's Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate, with guidance from an independent Industry Advisory Board.
WA Local Capability Fund – Supplying Key Projects Round

The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation has released the Local Capability Fund, which provides grants to help small and medium enterprises to enhance their competitiveness and secure work on large-scale projects in Australia and overseas. The Supplying Key Projects Round is designed to support Western Australian SMEs in enhancing their business capabilities and capacity to supply to major projects undertaken by the Federal, Western Australian and local governments, along with the private sector. The priority sectors for this funding round include energy, mining, civil construction, defence and marine.
SA Small Business Energy Grants
$2,500 - $50,000
The South Australian Government's Economic Recovery Fund is offering up to $20 million to assist 8,000 small businesses and not-for-profits to purchase energy efficient equipment or implement energy-saving improvements. The Small Business Energy Grants program is part of the South Australian Government's Economic Recovery Fund which is offering matched funding grants from $2,500 up to $50,000 for not-for-profits and small businesses to enhance energy use and associated costs. After investing in these energy saving measures, your costs will be subsidised by up to 50%.
WA Clean Energy Future Fund

The Clean Energy Future Fund offers financial support to corporations for clean energy ventures in Western Australia. It aims to back innovative projects that yield substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and deliver community benefits or promote widespread adoption of clean energy technologies.
Industry Growth Program: Commercialisation and Growth
$100,000 - $5million
Commercialisation and Growth grants target innovative projects in the prototyping to market-readiness stages. Activities involve devising market entry strategies, speeding up growth, and expanding into national and international markets.
Industry Growth Program: Early-Stage Commercialisation
$50,000 - $250,000
Early-stage commercialisation projects encompass the entire process, starting from feasibility studies and proof-of-concept development, all the way to producing and testing early prototypes in simulated or theoretical settings. The grants support projects and business activities aimed at validating the commercial potential of your innovative products, processes, or services.
Solar Sunshot – Round 2
$2 million - $20 million per project
Solar Sunshot – Round 2 is part of the Australian Government’s broader $1 billion Solar Sunshot Program, delivered by ARENA. This round focuses on inputs to solar PV modules and deployment technologies, aiming to strengthen Australia’s solar manufacturing capabilities and reduce deployment costs. Its objectives include advancing and automating the production of solar module components to support local manufacturing, increasing cost competitiveness and resilience across solar module inputs and related technologies, scaling up domestic solar PV deployment, and encouraging innovative approaches to reduce the overall cost of solar PV implementation.
WA Lower Carbon Grants Program – Gorgon Fund
$5 million - $15 million
The Lower Carbon Grants (LCG) Program - Gorgon Fund will support green energy and greentech projects in Western Australia, contributing to a sustainable low carbon future. LCG will fund significant research and innovation activities across industries, technology platforms, and regions that promote practical and effective solutions for decarbonisation.
Australia–UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Partnerships
$10,000 - $2 million
The Australia-UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Partnerships is a 3-year program, spanning from 2023-24 to 2025-26, emblematic of the Australian Government's commitment to global collaboration in clean energy and technology. Aligned with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement, this initiative underscores Australia's dedication to meeting international climate obligations. Announced on 31 July 2023, this program is a pivotal element of the joint funding call with the United Kingdom (UK), complemented by the UK Government's (Innovate UK) Australia-UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Competition.
In line with the Government's Strategic International Partnerships measure, the program provides Australian companies with funding support of up to $10 million for hydrogen research, development, and demonstration projects conducted in collaboration with UK companies. Projects must align with the objectives outlined in both the Australian Government’s National Hydrogen Strategy and the State of Hydrogen 2022 report. This includes the production of renewable hydrogen and derivatives, and the use of hydrogen in hard-to-abate industries, such as iron and steelmaking, chemicals and heavy transport sectors.
