Cancer Council WA – Cancer Research Project Grants

Cancer Council WA’s Cancer Research Project Grants provide funding for early‑stage cancer research projects that build evidence for future funding and support translation of research ideas. Funding supports projects across laboratory, clinical, epidemiological, psychosocial and behavioural science, with priority areas including Aboriginal health, rural and remote, clinical and public health.

The Preventive Health and Chronic Disease Support – LGBTIQA+ Safe Spaces grant supports the delivery of inclusive primary care workforce training and accreditation. The program aims to strengthen preventive health and chronic disease support for LGBTIQA+ communities by improving access, safety and quality of primary healthcare services across Australia.
NSW Emerging Technology Commercialisation Fund (ETCF) 2026
Grant amounts range from $500,000 to $2,000,000 per recipient

Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship (WISE) Grant Round 5

The Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship (WISE) Grant Round 5 is a federal initiative administered by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. The program aims to eliminate barriers and drive systemic change for women and girls in STEM education, careers, and entrepreneurship across Australia. With a total pool of $9.77 million, grants between $1 million and $2 million are available for eligible projects that support equity, diversity, and inclusion in STEM.
WA Market Access Grant Scheme (MAGS)

The Market Access Grant Scheme (MAGS) 2026 is a Western Australian Government initiative designed to support local health and medical life sciences companies in accessing global markets. Delivered by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED), the program provides financial assistance to help small and medium enterprises attend major national and international conferences and industry events in 2026. By subsidising travel costs, MAGS enables WA-based businesses to showcase their innovations, build strategic partnerships, attract investment, and expand their commercial reach. The scheme aligns with the WA Health and Medical Life Sciences Industry Strategy, which aims to diversify the economy, create jobs, and strengthen the state’s reputation as a global hub for health innovation.
WA Collaborative Research Grant – Round 7
Up to $200,000
The Collaborative Research Grant (CRG) is a competitive funding initiative co-funded by the Western Australian Government and the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). It supports cross-disciplinary collaboration between WA-based industry and academic institutions to develop technologies that are relevant to Defence and aligned with national strategic priorities.
