The Future Drought Fund Strengthening Drought Resilience on Country Program provides $12 million to support First Nations-led, community-driven projects that build resilience to drought and climate impacts. Running from 2025–26 to 2027–28, up to six Delivery Partners will co-design and support place-based initiatives that strengthen connection to Country and empower communities. The program reflects the Australian Government’s commitment to Closing the Gap by investing in First Nations-led solutions.

NT Aboriginal Tourism Development in NT Parks and Reserves Grant Program

$10,000 to $100,000

Tourism NT is providing a funding pool of $400K to assist in the creation of Aboriginal cultural experiences and tourism products in Joint Managed Parks. The minimum funding for applicants is $10K, while the maximum is $100K.

Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBC) Capacity Building Grant

Total funding pool of $114.8 million

Funding is available to support PBCs to maximise the economic and social potential of native title through the effective and sustainable management of their land.

The Preserve, Promote and Protect our Aboriginal Sites program provides grants to Aboriginal organisations for projects that preserve, promote and protect Aboriginal sites and support Aboriginal people in managing their cultural heritage throughout Western Australia.

NSW Protecting Our Places 2026

Funding up to $250,000 is available.

The Protecting Our Places program is a competitive grant initiative that supports Aboriginal organisations and groups in New South Wales to deliver long-term environmental improvements and care for Country. The program funds projects that restore natural environments and protect culturally significant sites, enabling Aboriginal communities to address their environmental and cultural priorities at a local level. It also helps build project management capabilities and encourages collaboration between Aboriginal organisations, government agencies, community groups and other partners.
