Critical Technologies Challenge Program – Round 2

Stage 1: $100,000-$500,000; Stage 2: up to $5million

This program supports consortia collaborations with funding to develop quantum technology solutions or components addressing market-driven challenges of national significance. Projects may also integrate advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and robotics to create innovative solutions.

WA Wind Energy Manufacturing Co-Investment Program

Stream 1: $20,000-$60,000; Stream 2: $500,000-$1million

This initiative will provide funding to support the growth of local businesses in the wind energy industry, encouraging innovation, job creation, and the development of new technologies. This program aims to enhance the capabilities of Western Australia's renewable energy sector, contributing to its transition to a low-carbon economy.

Regional Airports Program – Round 4

$20,000-$7.5million

The Regional Airports Program aims to support the enhancement of aviation safety, accessibility and climate resilience. Up to $7.5 million in funding available for regional airports and aerodromes.

Business Events Australia Bid Fund Program

Minimum of $50,000

The Business Events Bid Fund Program is managed by the Business Events Australia unit of Tourism Australia. It is a subvention fund aimed at increasing new international business events for Australia. The program provides financial support at the critical bidding stage, helping Australia outcompete other international destinations for the right to host these events.

WA Local Capability Fund – Regional Supplier Round

$5,000-20,000

The fund’s objective is to enhance SMEs' business capability and capacity to supply to export markets, Western Australian or Local Government agencies, the Australian Government and the private business sector.

WA Local Capability Fund – Supplying Key Projects Round

$5,000-50,000

The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation has released the Local Capability Fund, which provides grants to help small and medium enterprises to enhance their competitiveness and secure work on large-scale projects in Australia and overseas. The Supplying Key Projects Round is designed to support Western Australian SMEs in enhancing their business capabilities and capacity to supply to major projects undertaken by the Federal, Western Australian and local governments, along with the private sector. The priority sectors for this funding round include energy, mining, civil construction, defence and marine.

WA Local Capability Fund – Standards Compliance Round

$5,000-20,000

The objective of the Local Capability Fund is to provide SMEs in Western Australia with financial support to enhance their capacity, capability and competitiveness in supplying major projects and markets, both in Australia and overseas.

WA Local Capability Fund – Aboriginal Business Round

$50,000

The Aboriginal Business Round provides funding support to Aboriginal Western Australian small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their business capability and capacity to supply to major Western Australian State or Local Government agencies, the Australian Government and the private sector. Now in its eighth round, the program continues to support Aboriginal businesses in building capacity and unlocking new supply opportunities.

WA Local Capability Fund – Digital Transformation Round

$5,000-$50,000

The Digital Transformation Round is specifically designed to encourage eligible businesses to adopt transformational digital and data technologies that will improve their productivity, competitiveness, resilience, safety and/or sustainability. This is the third Digital Transformation Round and it introduces a second stream of funding, designed to encourage businesses to invest in larger-scale digital transformation projects.
