Recycling Modernisation Fund – Plastic Technology Stream

Operated under the auspices of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment, and Water, the Recycling Modernisation Fund (RMF) is diligently bridging critical voids within Australia's recycling infrastructure. An infusion of $60 million has been designated for the RMF's Plastics Technology stream, constituting the subsequent stride in the Government's strategic endeavours to grapple with the quandaries of plastic recycling rates and pollution. The focal point of this advancement entails the provision of backing to cutting-edge and inventive technologies that specifically target the complexities associated with recycling obstinate plastics that pose challenges in reprocessing.

Powering the Regions – Critical Inputs to Clean Energy Industries – PSPS

Estimated grant value from $10 million to $190 million.

The Australian Government has launched a grant initiative in accordance with the Powering the Regions Fund’s (PRF) goal of fostering the growth of new clean energy industries. The Critical Inputs to Clean Energy Industries (CICEI) Program has been allocated $200 million to the Primary Steel Production Sector (PSPS) to ensure its continued presence in Australia and its ability to supply the necessary infrastructure and supply chains for Australia to become a leader in renewable energy.

VIC Business Groups Flood Recovery Grants

$20,000 - $50,000

The grant program provides financial support to help businesses recover from the impact of the floods that occurred in Victoria in October 2022. Grants in the amounts of $20,000 and $50,000 are available to business groups that represent businesses affected by the floods are eligible to apply for funding to implement projects that address the local impact of the disaster. Multicultural and Aboriginal business groups in Victoria are particularly encouraged to apply for these grants.

VIC Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund

$250,000 - $2 million

The Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund will encourage businesses in Victoria to invest in new or improved R&D infrastructure to support the expansion of Victoria’s R&D capability across important industry sectors and increase company R&D spending. The funding with grants up to 50% of project costs, ranging from $250,000 to $2 million can benefit a business, an industry, or both. However, it must demonstrate how the project will increase Victoria’s business expenditure on R&D in the medium to long term.

Victoria-Israel Science and Technology R&D Fund (VISTECH)

The Victoria-Israel Science and Technology Research and Development (VISTECH) Program supports market-orientated collaborative research and development (R&D) projects by Victorian (Australia) and Israeli companies with funds.

VIC Timber Supply Chain Resilience Package

Two streams are available, offering either grants of up to $3,000, or grants and services valued at up to $145,000.

The Timber Supply Chain Resilience Package aims to assist Victorian manufacturers in transitioning their businesses and planning for the future by offering grants, professional advice, and planning services. Eligible businesses must process native hardwood from Victorian state forests to manufacture various products, including flooring, stairs, furniture, doors, windows, architectural features, or pallets.

Defence Global Competitiveness Grant

$15,000-$150,000

The Australian Government's Defence Global Competitiveness Grants Program aims to build a strong, sustainable and globally competitive Australian defence industry by supporting eligible Australian Small to Medium Enterprises to build export capability.

Reviving International Tourism Grant Program

$15,000 - $9 million

The Reviving International Tourism Grant Program (RITG) is designed to help internationally ready Australian tourism businesses, such as travel wholesalers (outbound tour operator/travel wholesaler) and tourism exporters

Emerging Aviation Technology Partnerships (EATP) Program

$2,000,000

The EATP initiative promotes the employment of emerging aviation technologies such as new propulsion systems, drones, and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft to address the needs of communities around Australia, particularly in remote locations.
