Total program funding: $75 million.
Funding for Australian clinical trials and cohort studies through NHMRC supporting health and medical research projects.
Sport and Recreation Victoria – Significant Sporting Events Program
Up to $150,000
Grants of up to $150,000 support nationally and internationally sanctioned sporting events held in Victoria. Funding can assist event delivery, sport development activities, marketing and broadcast initiatives that strengthen participation, talent pathways, visitation and economic outcomes. Applications are accepted through four annual funding rounds.
Our Marine Parks Grants – Round 5
Funding from $50,000-$500,000 is available.
Funding of up to $500,000 for marine conservation, First Nations, research and community projects in Australian Marine Parks.
WE SWIM Community Programs
Funding up to $50,000 excluding GST is available per partnership.
Up to $50,000 for local multicultural swimming and water safety partnerships across Australia. Applications close 24 September 2026.
WE SWIM Place-Based Partnerships
Funding up to $100,000 is available.
Funding up to $100,000 for place-based partnerships improving water safety and inclusion in multicultural communities.
Indigenous Broadcasting and Media Program (IBMP) – Strengthening Community Broadcasting Grant
There is no fixed maximum grant amount. Most grants are expected to range from $20,000 to $250,000.
NIAA's IBMP grant: $4 million for First Nations community broadcasting and media organisations. Grants of $20,000 to $250,000. Applications close 11 September 2026. Check your eligibility with Avant Group.
NHMRC – Equipment Grants 2026
$6,225,911.96 funding pool
The NHMRC Equipment Grants scheme supports Australian health and medical research institutions to strategically acquire, maintain and share larger items of research equipment. The program aims to strengthen access to high-quality research infrastructure, support collaborative use of equipment and improve the long-term sustainability of health and medical research capability across Australia.
VIC WorkSafe Grants Program – Worker Consultation Grant Round 2026–27
Up to $300,000
The 2026–27 WorkSafe Grant Funding Round supports innovative worker consultation initiatives that strengthen workplace health and safety outcomes across Victoria. The program focuses on reinforcing worker consultation as a foundational mechanism for preventing workplace harm and increasing awareness of the role of Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and effective consultation practices.
VIC mRNA Victoria Pipeline Program – Round 1
up to $2 million
The mRNA Victoria Pipeline Program – Round 1 supports Victorian organisations developing innovative mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics. The program is designed to accelerate pre-clinical candidates towards GMP manufacturing and Phase I clinical trials while strengthening Victoria’s sovereign mRNA capability and commercialisation pipeline.
