Traceability Grants Program
Up to $500,000
The Traceability Grants Program (TGP), an integral part of the Modernising Agricultural Trade – Protecting Australia’s Clean, Green Brand initiative. Traceability refers to the ability to track product movement through stages of production, processing, and distribution (ISO 2007). Australia's agricultural traceability systems include government regulations as well as industry arrangements for tracking and tracing agricultural commodities and products.
Agricultural traceability plays a critical and fundamental role in emergency response and Australia's economy and prosperity. In recognition of this, the Australian Government has jointly co-designed the National Agricultural Traceability Strategy 2023-2033 (the strategy) with industry, state and territory governments, and other interested stakeholders to guide research, as well as government and industry investment in order to improve existing strong systems, increase efficiency, and deliver farmers benefits.
Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Grants
Up to 50% of eligible project costs, with recent rounds averaging $45 million.
Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Grants offer funding for medium to long-term, industry-led research collaborations as part of the broader CRC Program, supporting industry, research, and the community through two avenues:
1. CRC Grants, providing support for medium to long-term industry-led collaborative research projects, lasting up to 10 years.
2. CRC Projects (CRC-P) grants, backing short-term, industry-led collaborative research initiatives with a duration of up to 3 years.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adopt Program
$3 million - $5 million
The AI Adopt Program offers funding to establish up to five AI Adopt Centres, supporting small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in international and interstate trade. These centres aim to facilitate the adoption of responsible AI-enabled services, enhancing the business operations of the participating SMEs. The program's overarching goal is to establish a network of AI Adopt Centres, serving as a primary entry point for SMEs interested in exploring the responsible and safe adoption and usage of AI.
Australia–UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Partnerships
$10,000 - $2 million
The Australia-UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Partnerships is a 3-year program, spanning from 2023-24 to 2025-26, emblematic of the Australian Government's commitment to global collaboration in clean energy and technology. Aligned with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement, this initiative underscores Australia's dedication to meeting international climate obligations. Announced on 31 July 2023, this program is a pivotal element of the joint funding call with the United Kingdom (UK), complemented by the UK Government's (Innovate UK) Australia-UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Competition.
In line with the Government's Strategic International Partnerships measure, the program provides Australian companies with funding support of up to $10 million for hydrogen research, development, and demonstration projects conducted in collaboration with UK companies. Projects must align with the objectives outlined in both the Australian Government’s National Hydrogen Strategy and the State of Hydrogen 2022 report. This includes the production of renewable hydrogen and derivatives, and the use of hydrogen in hard-to-abate industries, such as iron and steelmaking, chemicals and heavy transport sectors.
Industry Growth Program
$50,000 - $5 million
The Industry Growth Program offers support to innovative small and medium enterprises (SMEs) engaged in commercialisation and/or growth projects within the priority areas of the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF). This program comprises Advisory Services and opportunities for matched grant funding. Businesses that have received Advisory Services through the program are eligible to apply for matched grant funding to enhance their projects.
Aged Care Capital Assistance Program (ACCAP)
This grant is up to $135 million
The Aged Care Capital Assistance Program (ACCAP) offers grants for aged care infrastructure, with the goal of sustaining or enhancing access to high-quality aged care services in areas with limited market presence. This includes individuals:
- from First Nations communities
- residing in regional, rural, and remote locations
- experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness
- having other complex and diverse needs, including dementia
This grant opportunity aims to provide funding for infrastructure projects through four funding streams, primarily focusing on enhancing access to quality aged care services in small rural towns and remote or very remote communities. Additionally, it seeks to support specific demographics of older Australians, such as those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and individuals from First Nations communities.
First Nations Heritage Grant Program
$25,000 - $250,000
The First Nations Heritage Grants Program supports initiatives carried out on-Country, where First Nations people take the lead in identifying, assessing, recording, and preserving the cultural heritage of First Nations.
Urban Rivers and Catchments Program 2023
$150,000 - $10 million
The Urban Rivers and Catchments Program aims to restore the health of urban, outer urban/peri-urban, and regional centre waterways, benefiting native flora, fauna, and local communities. Aligned with the government's Nature Positive agenda, this program will help ensure that Australia meets international obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity and other relevant environmental treaties.
Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program – Round 11
$5000 - $4 million
The Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program Round 11 offers funding for the enhancement of aerodromes situated in remote regions of Australia. Its primary objective is to ensure year-round, all-weather accessibility and enhance the delivery of essential goods and services, particularly in areas where road access is either absent or unreliable.
