This initiative will provide funding to support the growth of local businesses in the wind energy industry, encouraging innovation, job creation, and the development of new technologies. This program aims to enhance the capabilities of Western Australia's renewable energy sector, contributing to its transition to a low-carbon economy.

Applications will be accepted until funding is fully exhausted.

Key Requirements

To be eligible, expenditure must:

  • Be incurred by you within the project period (maximum of 18 months)
  • Be a direct cost of the project as scoped out in the project milestones
  • Be incurred by you to undertake required project audit activities
  • Meet the eligible expenditure guidelines

What is eligible for funding?

Eligible activities include:

  • Capital investment (25% of total project costs) with demonstrated benefits to WA
  • Associated skill-based training to modernise and transform your manufacturing processes
  • Pre-production intangible activities (e.g. specialised trailers)
    • R&D
    • Design
    • Logistics
  • Production tangible activities (e.g. tower foundations, nacelle components and assembly)
    • Production
  • Post-production intangible activities (e.g. replacement parts and servicing, refurbishment centre(s))
    • distribution
    • Sales
    • Services

What companies are eligible for funding?

To be eligible you must:

  • Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and Australian Company Number (ACN)
  • Be non-tax exemp
  • Be registered for GST
  • Be an entity incorporated in Australia, including start-ups and a trading corporation, where the principal project activities and operations are based in WA.

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?
