One-off Assistance grants, with a maximum of $20,000, aim to promote winter events in regional Tasmania, attracting more visitors and local engagement during the off-peak tourist period. They also support the development of event skills and capacity in regional areas.

Assessment criteria: To qualify for a One-off Assistance grant, you must collaborate with Events Tasmania to enhance or develop your event.
What is eligible for funding?
For eligibility, your event should:
- occur outside Greater Hobart
- avoid peak tourism seasons (with priority on winter and shoulder periods)
- bring significant benefits to regional Tasmania
- draw large local community participation, at least 5000 intrastate visitors, or 800 interstate visitors
- Secure substantial independent funding
- collaborate with Events Tasmania for event development or enhancement to qualify for the grant.

Event organisers planning and hosting an event in regional Tasmania.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement-based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

- CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
