Tasmania Boats

Marine and Safety Tasmanian Small Boating Fund

  • Applications Open: This program is open on an ongoing basis throughout the financial year.
  • Grants:  up to $75,000

Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) has now replaced the 20-year-old Recreational Boating Fund with a new financing mechanism that includes an infrastructure and safety strategy. The infrastructure plan enables MAST to focus on projects and begin what can be a lengthy approval process to guarantee infrastructure enhancements are "shovel" ready when money becomes available.

The plan also allows MAST to direct monies towards particular safety programmes aimed at making boating safer and more pleasant for everyone. The financing totals $1.6 million per year for infrastructure and safety projects.
