Powering the Regions – Critical Inputs to Clean Energy Industries – PSPS

Estimated grant value from $10 million to $190 million.

The Australian Government has launched a grant initiative in accordance with the Powering the Regions Fund’s (PRF) goal of fostering the growth of new clean energy industries. The Critical Inputs to Clean Energy Industries (CICEI) Program has been allocated $200 million to the Primary Steel Production Sector (PSPS) to ensure its continued presence in Australia and its ability to supply the necessary infrastructure and supply chains for Australia to become a leader in renewable energy.

NSW Digital Games Rebate

Digital games with a minimum Qualifying NSW Expenditure of $500,000 are eligible for a 10% rebate.

The NSW Government is offering a 10% rebate for digital games with a minimum Qualifying NSW Expenditure of $500,000. This initiative complements the Australian Government’s Digital Games Offset and is administered by Screen NSW. The program aims to accelerate the growth of the NSW digital games sector, attract investment, grow employment, and retain talent in NSW.

NSW Regional Skills Relocation Grant

This grant is up to $12,500.

The Department of Regional NSW administers the Regional Skills Relocation Grant to assist businesses in specific industries within regional NSW to attract skilled employees from metropolitan areas, interstate, or overseas to relocate.

NSW Marine Estate Management – Reconnecting Fish Habitats

This grant amount is up to $500,000.

The NSW Department of Primary Industries, Fisheries has utilised this priority list as the foundation for allocating funding and effort to remediate road crossings and weir structures, including the Marine Estate Management Strategy Reconnecting Fish Habitats program.

VIC Business Groups Flood Recovery Grants

$20,000 - $50,000

The grant program provides financial support to help businesses recover from the impact of the floods that occurred in Victoria in October 2022. Grants in the amounts of $20,000 and $50,000 are available to business groups that represent businesses affected by the floods are eligible to apply for funding to implement projects that address the local impact of the disaster. Multicultural and Aboriginal business groups in Victoria are particularly encouraged to apply for these grants.

VIC Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund

$250,000 - $2 million

The Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund will encourage businesses in Victoria to invest in new or improved R&D infrastructure to support the expansion of Victoria’s R&D capability across important industry sectors and increase company R&D spending. The funding with grants up to 50% of project costs, ranging from $250,000 to $2 million can benefit a business, an industry, or both. However, it must demonstrate how the project will increase Victoria’s business expenditure on R&D in the medium to long term.

SA Defence Innovation Partnership – Activator Fund

$1.6 million

The Defence Innovation Partnership Activator Fund intends to enable the State to initiate and participate in larger-scale innovation activities aligned with Defence's most pressing challenges. The Fund expects to have ongoing impacts on the South Australian innovation ecosystem by creating opportunities for follow-on investment from national and international R&D programs, spinoffs into the local industry and elevating local industry to supply into international defence/space programs.

Victoria-Israel Science and Technology R&D Fund (VISTECH)

$250,000

The Victoria-Israel Science and Technology Research and Development (VISTECH) Program supports market-orientated collaborative research and development (R&D) projects by Victorian (Australia) and Israeli companies with funds.

SA Research and Innovation Fund (RIF) Seed-Start Program

$50,000 - $500,000

The Research and Innovation Fund (RIF) Seed-Start Program offers grant funding to early-stage researchers, entrepreneurs, and businesses in South Australia to commercialise an innovative product or service. This product or service must be one-of-a-kind and provide a sustainable competitive advantage in both domestic and international markets.
