WA Collie Futures Small Grants Program

This program is to support new opportunities for enterprise and industry that provide a long-term benefit to the Collie region to increase jobs, productivity, and business partnerships.

Key Requirements

To apply, the eligible applicants must attach the relevant documents:
  • A letter with your organisation’s contact details, ABN, and payment account details on letterhead signed by the treasurer or secretary, and president.
  • Marketing/promotional plans
  • A picture (hero image or brochure) representing your organisation and the activities you deliver as outlined in the grant application
  • Operational Plans, quotes, risk management plans, insurance documents related to the funded activity

What is eligible for funding?

To be eligible  the project must:
  • Demonstrate an economic impact within a journey to a work zone of up to 50kms from the Collie townsite/CBD.
  • Align to one or more program objectives.
To be eligible expenditure items include:
  • Development of new business streams that diversify or expand existing businesses.
  • Business case development.
  • Research development.
  • Development of new technologies aimed at providing a net economic benefit to the Collie region.
  • Training courses and/or skills development.

What companies are eligible for funding?

The eligible applicants include organisations that must be either:
  • An incorporated body that:
    1. Has an Australian Business Number.
    2. A trading corporation.
    3. A company incorporated in Australia.
  • An existing enterprise
  • A not-for-profit (including voluntary and community groups)  that:
    1. Has an Australian Business Number.
    2. Is an incorporated body or has equivalent status.

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

  • 3-5 year Cashflow Forecast
  • 3-5 year Balance Sheet Forecast
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis of Grant Funding
  • End-to-end grant application including information collating, analysis and application writing
  • CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
  • Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
  • Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
