The Business Events Bid Fund Program is managed by the Business Events Australia unit of Tourism Australia. It is a subvention fund aimed at increasing new international business events for Australia. The program provides financial support at the critical bidding stage, helping Australia outcompete other international destinations for the right to host these events.

Key Requirements

The Business Events Bid Fund Program is designed to facilitate the conversion of new business event opportunities where Australia is bidding against international competitors

The key requirements for applicants are as follows:

  • Applicants are required to match investment with equal contribution
  • Event must be held before 31 December 2029
  • Event must demonstrate an economic value of at least $3 million to the Australian economy
  • International association events and exhibitions must provide evidence that the event is expected to attract at least 400 international visitors
  • International incentive events must provide evidence that the event is expected to attract at least 700 international visitors and/or bring $3 million value to the Australian economy

  • Transportation
  • Additional Australian event costs

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
