New Grants Open for NSW Businesses this 2023

    • National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy Support Program
      The NCRIS Support Program will invest $21.6 million in 2022/23 for NSW-based NCRIS research and innovation infrastructure facilities, equipment and technical expertise and initiatives related to infrastructure facilities funded and supported through the Commonwealth Government’s 2021 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap
      $500,000 – $10 million
      Closing Date: 15 February 2023
    • Small Business Innovation & Research Program
      The Small Business Innovation & Research program will support agencies to recognise solutions, evaluate the technology’s feasibility and trial and validate the solution to cultivate a commercial product.
      Grant Amount: up to $100,000 for Phase 1 and up to $1 million for Phase 2
      Closing Date: 28 February 2023
    • Regional Job Creation Fund
      The Regional Job Creation Fund — Round Three seeks to provide support to businesses in regional NSW to expand, boost productivity, and to retain and/or create jobs, leading to a more resilient, diverse and productive regional economy.
      Grant Amount: $100,000 – $10 million
      Closing Date: 6 March 2023
    • Community Assets Program
      The $70 million CAP will support the social recovery of eligible storm and flood affected local government areas (LGAs) by providing funding for the repair, restoration and betterment of community infrastructure.
      Grant Amount: $100,000 – $7.5 million
      Closing Date: 27 March 2023
    • Critical Producer Grant
      The $100 million Critical Producer Grant is one of four recovery programs under the Primary Industry Support Package which was announced in March 2022. The maximum value of the grant available to producers will vary by industry sector.
      Grant Amount: $10,000 – $100,000
      Closing Date: 30 June 2023
    • Regional Filming Fund (RFF)
      The Regional Filming Fund offsets costs associated with shooting in regional areas of NSW. Regional NSW is defined as all areas in NSW outside the Sydney Metro area (excluding the ACT).
      Grant Amount: up to $175,000
      Closing Date: 30 June 2023
    • Off-farm Efficiency Program
      The $1.54 billion Off-farm Efficiency Program from the Australian Government is an program to upgrade water infrastructure to lessen water losses and boost available water for the environment.
      Grant Amount:  dependent on project proposal
      Closing Date: 30 June 2023
    • Northern Rivers Medium Size Business Grant
      The Northern Rivers Medium Size Business Grant is intended to assist with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement of eligible businesses where direct damage has occurred due to the 2022 floods. The Program is especially designed to support retention of employees.
      Grant Amount: up to $200,000
      Closing Date: 30 June 2023
    • Regional Investment Activation Fund Stream Two
      The $110 million Regional Investment Activation Fund aims to activate the economic potential of key industries and locations in alignment with the Vision and other NSW Government strategies and priorities. It will deliver sustainable employment opportunities, activate new industries, promote cluster development, and drive increased productivity, innovation and competitiveness of businesses in regional NSW.
      Grant Amount: $1 million – $10 million
      Closing Date: 31 December 2024
    • MVP Ventures Program
      The MVP Ventures Program delivers grant funding to push for the commercialisation of new and highly innovative products, services, or processes that are in at least a viable product stage.
      Grant Amount: $25,000 – $200,000
      Closing Date: 1 December 2026
    • Seafood Innovation Fund
      The Seafood Innovation Fund is an incentive-based initiative to assist businesses within the seafood sector in New South Wales to identify and address risks to their business, improve permanent assets and infrastructure, ensure long-term productivity and sustainable use of the marine, estuarine and land-based environment plus aiding in building resilience to changes in seasonal conditions.
      Loan Amount: up to $500,000
      Closing Date: until funding is allocated
