New Round of the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund Announced

Posted: April 4, 2022

Update as of 23 May 2022: With the change of Government, this program is now on hold until further notice.

The Restart Investments to Sustain and Expand (RISE) grant has announced a new round of funding with a budget of $20 million.

To date, the government has provided funding of $200 million which has supported 541 projects and has helped create more than 200,000 jobs in the arts sector since it has first been announced. This has helped artists and organisations in the presentation of cultural and creative projects, activities and events to rebuild confidence amongst investors, producers and consumers.

“We established the RISE Fund to get artists back on stage, organisations back on their feet, and audiences back into their favourite local venues to support Australia’s best and emerging talent,” said Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, Hon Paul Fletcher MP. “Our $20 million top up of this unparalleled funding brings the Morrison Government’s Creative Economy Support Package to $500 million.
