WA Feral Cat Management Grants
- Grants between $10,000 and $250,000 per application
- Total funding pool of $2 million over four years
- $500,000 available in the current round
This program supports landscape scale, community based projects that improve conservation outcomes through effective feral cat management in Western Australia. Funding supports research, monitoring, technology trials and on ground control activities aligned to the Western Australian Feral Cat Strategy 2023–28. Projects must build knowledge and capability to reduce the impact of feral cats on native wildlife.
Key Requirements
- Projects must align with the objectives of the Western Australian Feral Cat Strategy
- Activities must be delivered entirely within Western Australia
- Projects must be completed within a maximum of three years
- Projects must involve on ground works, research and development, or community capacity building, or a combination of these
What is eligible for funding?
- Monitoring priority feral cat free areas
- Feral cat exclusion works to protect threatened species
- Collaborative control projects with land managers, Traditional Owners, Aboriginal ranger groups or local government
- Research and trials to improve effectiveness of feral cat management tools and techniques
- Community education and awareness to support integrated pest management

- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
