Delivering the Tasmanian Women’s Leadership Scholarship Grants Program

The Delivering the Tasmanian Women’s Leadership Scholarship Grants Program supports the delivery of leadership scholarship programs for Tasmanian women, with a strong focus on women working in male‑dominated industries. Funding supports programs that build confidence, leadership capability, professional networks and career progression aligned with the Equal Means Equal Strategy.
Key Requirements
- Programs must build leadership capability and support pathways into executive or board‑level roles
- Activities must align with the Equal Means Equal Strategy and deliver measurable community benefit
- Programs must support women working in male‑dominated industries
- All funded activities must benefit the community, not individuals
What is eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants include:
- Individuals or sole traders
- For‑profit organisations and businesses
- Aboriginal organisations
- Incorporated not‑for‑profit organisations
- Not‑for‑profit companies registered under company law
Applicants must be capable of delivering leadership scholarship programs in Tasmania.
Funding cannot be used for:
- Capital purchases (including buildings, vehicles, laptops or equipment)
- General business costs not tied to program delivery
- Commercial profit‑making activities
- Retrospective expenditure
- Activities unrelated to the design, delivery or administration of the program
What companies are eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants are individuals or organisations with the governance, capability and experience required to design and deliver women’s leadership scholarship programs that align with Tasmanian government policy priorities.
Australian and Tasmanian Government agencies, and organisations already receiving Tasmanian Government funding for the same project, are not eligible.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
