Get In Touch

The Screen Australia Global Fellowships program provides established Australian screen practitioners with high-level international professional development and cultural exchange opportunities. Through placements with internationally recognised screen organisations and mentors, fellows gain exposure to global business models, creative practices, production methodologies and international networks that can accelerate their careers and strengthen Australia's screen industry.

The initiative is designed for accomplished screen practitioners seeking a significant next step in their careers through immersive international engagement and long-term relationship building.

Key Requirements

Applicants must independently source and secure their own fellowship opportunity, host organisation and mentor. Screen Australia will not arrange placements on behalf of applicants. Evidence of host commitment is required at the application stage.

The program is intended for established screen professionals working primarily as:

  • Producers
  • Directors
  • Writers
  • Screen Development Executives

Applicants are expected to demonstrate:

  • A strong professional track record.
  • Multiple long-form produced screen credits.
  • Existing international exposure.
  • Critical and/or commercial success.
  • A clear strategy for how international engagement will advance their career and benefit the Australian screen sector.

This is not an emerging practitioner program.
