The SA Export Diversification Program supports South Australian businesses to diversify and expand their export activities. Funding assists eligible organisations to explore new international markets, reduce reliance on a single export market, and strengthen export capability.

- Applicants must be South Australian organisations
- Projects must clearly support export diversification, not general business growth
- A co‑contribution is required and must be demonstrated
- Applications are accepted until program funds are exhausted
What is eligible for funding?
Eligible activities include:
- Export market diversification projects
- Activities that support export capability and international expansion
- Manufacturing‑linked export initiatives where relevant
Funding cannot be used for:
- General operating costs
- Activities not directly related to export diversification
- Expenditure incurred prior to funding approval
What companies are eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants are South Australian organisations, including businesses operating across general industry, manufacturing, automotive and marine sectors.
Individuals are not eligible to apply.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

Competitive grants often require significant business case development and project analysis to support the application, this may include detailed presentations supporting the project’s merit, projected sales, cost-benefit analysis and more.

- End-to-end grant application including information collating, analysis and application writing
- CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
