QLD Arts Organisations Fund 2026-2029

  • Organisations Fund General Stream open: until 20th January 2025
  • Festivals Stream open: until 10th March 2025
  • Minimum request: $100,000 annual funding (for four years)

Arts Queensland will provide support for small to medium-sized arts and cultural companies so they can become stronger and share their creative works. This fund will support the core operational and program delivery costs, helping to ensure they are well positioned to deliver on and leverage the opportunity of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Key Requirements

This fund will provide 30% annual funding to arts and cultural companies, across four years.

Two streams are available:

  • Organisations Fund General Stream supports general sustainable arts and cultural activities.
  • Festivals Stream supports an organised series or program of public arts and cultural events (2 or more consecutive days).

Funding for eligible activities will be from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2029.

What is eligible for funding?

The fund supports core operations and program costs such as:

  • Core staff or ensemble wages
  • Core program delivery
  • Overheads, legal and governance costs.

Successful applicants can receive up to 30% funding covering their core operations and program costs.

What companies are eligible for funding?

Eligible applicants must be a QLD-based First Nations and non-Indigenous organisation, generating their own artistic and cultural work, and/or present, exhibit or publish the creative work of others. They must also deliver employment opportunities for Queensland artists and arts workers.

Currently funded organisations (under the Organisations Fund 2022-2025, First Nations Pathways 2022-2025) may not be eligible for funding.

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

  • End-to-end grant application including information collating, analysis and application writing
  • CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
  • Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
  • Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
