QLD Skilling Queenslanders for Work – Community Work Skills

This program supports community based projects that deliver tailored training and employment assistance to disadvantaged job seekers in Queensland. Funding supports non accredited training combined with employability skills development and pathways into work. The program forms part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

- Projects must deliver customised training and employment assistance to Queensland job seekers
- Activities must address community and industry workforce needs
- Projects must include strategies to support participant engagement and outcomes
- Funding must demonstrate value for money and measurable outcomes
What is eligible for funding?
- Delivery of non accredited training linked to employability outcomes
- Employment assistance and job preparation activities
- Administrative costs directly related to project coordination and delivery
- Support costs for participants such as training materials, supervision and mentoring
What companies are eligible for funding?
Applicants must be not for profit organisations registered for GST. Eligible applicant types include community based organisations, peak bodies, local councils and registered training organisations. Applicants must demonstrate experience delivering employment or training support services and a commitment to access and equity principles.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

- CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
