- The minimum grant request is $500,000, with a required 1:1 co-contribution.
- Applications will be accepted until the $180 million funding pool is exhausted.
The Industrial Transformation Stream (ITS) is designed to support the decarbonisation of existing industrial facilities located in regional Australia. Through targeted funding, the program supports projects that reduce Scope 1 and/or Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions. This can be achieved through a range of approaches, including electrification, energy efficiency improvements, the integration of renewable energy technologies, fuel switching, and the development of enabling infrastructure such as energy storage and demand management systems.
Key Requirements
The program’s objectives are closely aligned with Australia’s national climate goals for 2030 and 2050. It aims to accelerate emissions reduction by improving the technological and commercial readiness of decarbonisation solutions. In addition, ITS encourages collaboration across industry sectors and promotes knowledge sharing to support broader transformation. A key focus is also placed on building workforce capability, ensuring that industrial teams are equipped with the skills needed to implement and sustain low-emissions practices.
