NSW Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative – Low Carbon Product Manufacturing

A total of $200 million has been allocated to Round 2 of the Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative (NZMI), which includes the Low Carbon Product Manufacturing (LCPM) stream.


The Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative helps NSW businesses and industries lead the transition to net zero by boosting competitiveness, attracting investment, and unlocking new growth opportunities. The Low Carbon Product Manufacturing (LCPM) stream supports clean manufacturing using low-carbon technologies.

Key Requirements

To achieve net zero emissions by 2050, we must:

  • Develop innovative low-emission technologies.
  • Build local manufacturing capacity for critical low-carbon products.
  • Accelerate domestic production of renewable energy generation, storage, and transmission components.

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

  • CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
  • Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
  • Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
