The EV Kerbside Charging Grants co-fund charge point operators to install public electric vehicle chargers across NSW. They're aimed at drivers who can't charge at home because they have limited or no off-street parking.
Round 3 provides $5 million in 37 priority local government areas. It expands support beyond kerbside power poles and verges to include council and commercial car parks. The round is part of a $10 million investment announced in 2026 to grow public EV charging.
Rounds 1 and 2 allocated $6.9 million towards more than 1,000 kerbside charge ports across 28 local government areas. All of these chargers run on 100% renewable electricity and are open 24/7.

- Car park applications need a letter of support from each site host that includes the exact site address
