The ClubGRANTS Category 3 Infrastructure Grants Program provides funding for the construction, upgrade, renovation and fit-out of community infrastructure across New South Wales. The program supports projects that strengthen community participation, improve local facilities and increase disaster resilience through investment in public infrastructure.

Key Requirements

Arts and Culture

Projects must support publicly accessible arts and cultural infrastructure such as:

  • Museums
  • Art galleries
  • Theatres
  • Cultural facilities
  • Community arts infrastructure

Funding must deliver long-term public benefit and improve community access to arts and cultural participation.

Community Infrastructure

Projects must support physical infrastructure that strengthens community participation and wellbeing, including:

  • Community centres
  • Youth facilities
  • Mental health support infrastructure
  • Homelessness service infrastructure
  • Community hubs and shared-use facilities

Projects should provide significant social and public benefit to NSW communities.

Disaster Readiness

Projects must improve community preparedness, resilience and emergency response capacity through infrastructure such as:

  • Evacuation centres
  • Emergency response facilities
  • Community resilience infrastructure
  • Disaster preparedness assets and upgrades

Applications should demonstrate clear benefits for community safety and disaster response capability.

Sport and Recreation

Projects must support participation in sport and active recreation through infrastructure including:

  • Sporting fields and grounds
  • Change rooms
  • Spectator facilities
  • Courts and training facilities
  • Recreation infrastructure upgrades

Projects should increase participation, accessibility and community use.

General program requirements

  • Infrastructure must be located in NSW.
  • Infrastructure must be accessible and available to the general public for the majority of the time.
  • Development Approval (or formal exemption) must be in place.
  • Local government applicants must provide dollar-for-dollar cash matching.
  • Applicants cannot have received funding through this program in the previous financial year.
  • Only one application per organisation per round is permitted.

What is eligible for funding?

Funding can support:

  • Construction of new community infrastructure
  • Alteration or renovation of existing facilities
  • Completion and fit-out of community infrastructure
  • Purchase of capital equipment associated with project delivery
  • Professional fees related to the infrastructure project

  • Community centres
  • Sporting facilities and change rooms
  • Museums, galleries and theatres
  • Playgrounds
  • Evacuation centres
  • Youth, homelessness and mental health community infrastructure
  • Disaster readiness infrastructure

What companies are eligible for funding?

  • Not-for-profit organisations with an ABN responsible for operating or maintaining infrastructure
  • Local councils
  • Schools (where public access considerations apply)
  • Organisations applying through an auspice arrangement where appropriate

Infrastructure must be publicly accessible and based in NSW.

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
