Delivering the Women’s Leadership Program

- $100,000 to be delivered before the end of the 2026–27 financial year (subject to continued funding)
The Delivering the Women’s Leadership Program provides funding to design and deliver leadership development programs for women, with a strong focus on women working in male‑dominated industries. The program aims to build leadership capability, strengthen professional networks, and improve workforce participation and progression outcomes for women in Tasmania.
Key Requirements
- Applications must deliver two high‑impact leadership development programs over a two‑year period
- Programs must support women working in male‑dominated industries
- Applicants must demonstrate strong and measurable public benefit aligned with Tasmania’s Equal Means Equal Strategy
- Projects must demonstrate organisational capability, governance and delivery experience
- Activities must be delivered within Tasmania
What is eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants include:
- Individuals or sole traders
- For‑profit organisations and businesses
- Aboriginal organisations
- Incorporated not‑for‑profit organisations
- Not‑for‑profit companies registered under company law
Funding cannot be used for:
- Capital purchases (including buildings, vehicles or equipment)
- General business costs not tied to program delivery
- Commercial profit‑making activities
- Retrospective expenditure
- Activities unrelated to the design, delivery or administration of the program
What companies are eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants must be individuals or organisations capable of delivering leadership programs that generate measurable outcomes for women in Tasmania. Preference is given to applications that demonstrate collaboration, reinvestment into the Tasmanian community, and alignment with government policy priorities.
Australian Government agencies, Tasmanian Government agencies, schools, colleges and political parties are not eligible.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
