NSW Alcohol and other Drug Treatment Access Expansion Grants

The program seeks to improve access to treatment services so more people can get high quality care to support improved health and wellbeing.

Key Requirements

The eligible applicant must submit the required documents for the application include:

  • Response to Specific Treatment Access Package Requirements:
    • Community based withdrawal management, case management and counselling for priority populations
    • Day rehabilitation and case management for people with dependent children
    • Day rehabilitation and/or counselling with people aged 12-24 years
    • Residential rehabilitation and withdrawal for young people aged 12-17 years
    • Residential rehabilitation and withdrawal for Aboriginal women with young children
  • Organisation applicant details
  • Service implementation plan
  • Response to eligibility and standard requirements
  • NSW Aboriginal Health Impact Statement
  • Proposed grant budget
  • Service staffing plan

What is eligible for funding?

The eligible project include:

  • Community based withdrawal management, case management and counselling for priority populations
  • Day rehabilitation and case management for people with dependent children
  • Day rehabilitation and/or counselling with people aged 12-24 years
  • Residential rehabilitation and withdrawal for young people aged 12-17 years
  • Residential rehabilitation and withdrawal for Aboriginal women with young children

What companies are eligible for funding?

The eligible applicant include:

  • Hold current accreditation against the NSW Health approved accreditation standards for organisations delivering AOD treatment services.
  • Not-for profit entity incorporated under any of the following:
    • Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW)
    • Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006.
    • Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
