The 77 Venture Challenge is a 12‑week program designed to help early‑stage ventures prepare to raise a pre‑seed, seed, or pre‑Series A round. The program focuses on investor readiness and fundraising execution, with curated investor introductions and 1:1 support.
Key Requirements
- Ventures must be headquartered in Queensland.
- The program is designed for early‑stage ventures preparing to raise an early‑stage capital round.
- Participation does not require fees or equity to join the program.
What is eligible for funding?
Eligible ventures:
- Early‑stage Queensland‑headquartered ventures aligned to FrontierTech areas such as AI, IoT, advanced manufacturing and robotics, energy and smart infrastructure, and quantum and cybersecurity.
Not eligible (typical exclusions):
- Ventures not headquartered in Queensland.
What companies are eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants are early‑stage ventures headquartered in Queensland that are preparing to raise capital and can commit to participating in the program’s scheduled sessions and workshops
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?
By engaging an accredited government grants consultant, such as Avant Group.
Competitive grants often require significant business case development and project analysis to support the application, this may include detailed presentations supporting the project’s merit, projected sales, cost-benefit analysis and more.

- End-to-end grant application including information collating, analysis and application writing
- CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
