WA Carbon Innovation Grants Program – Round 3
- Approximately $3.1 million available in Round 3
- Feasibility studies: $50,000 to $500,000, covering up to 50% of eligible project costs
- Pilot projects and capital works: $100,000 to $1.5 million, covering up to 25% of eligible project costs
- Applications close: 11 December 2026
The Carbon Innovation Grants Program helps Western Australian heavy industry move towards net zero emissions by 2050. It funds projects that cut emissions from industrial processes and develop new technologies for carbon abatement and sequestration.
The program has two funding streams. Feasibility studies help move technologies from concept to real-world trials. Pilot projects and capital works support real-world testing, from pilot stage through to full-scale deployment.
Round 3 is the final round of a $13 million program run by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. Projects don't need to generate carbon credits to be eligible.
