The Multicultural Connect Grants Program supports multicultural organisations and communities to build or upgrade community facilities across Queensland. Funding is targeted towards permanent, accessible and inclusive community infrastructure that strengthens social connection, cultural participation and community resilience.

Key Requirements

  • Applicants must provide matched cash funding equal to the grant amount requested.
  • Projects must be located in Queensland.
  • Projects must involve a single site.
  • Owner consent must be obtained for works.
  • Facilities must support access by multicultural organisations and the broader community.
  • Successful projects must become shovel-ready within eight weeks of approval.

What is eligible for funding?

  • Construction of new community facilities.
  • Upgrades to community halls, hubs and meeting spaces.
  • Accessibility improvements.
  • Storage upgrades and facility extensions.
  • Sporting and community connection infrastructure.
  • Car parks directly supporting eligible facilities.

What companies are eligible for funding?

  • Queensland not-for-profit and charitable organisations with an active ABN.
  • Charitable institutions established through legislation.
  • Local government bodies constituted under the Local Government Act 2009.

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?
