Honouring our Veterans Grants Program supports projects across Queensland that preserve stories of service, strengthen recognition of veterans, and deepen community understanding of their contributions. Round Two includes three grant streams across two funding types. Capital Works Grants support minor and major projects such as memorial creation or refurbishment, facility upgrades, accessibility improvements, new veteran support infrastructure, and community hubs. Community Grants support commemorative activities, events, education programs, digital storytelling, and initiatives that bring veterans, families, and communities together.

The program is open to a range of eligible incorporated organisations, charities, schools, school parent associations, past student associations, and local authorities. Projects must be delivered in Queensland. Applicants can submit separate applications across streams where each project is distinct and separate. The program is designed to honour veterans’ service and sacrifice while also promoting wellbeing, inclusion, participation, and public awareness for current and future generations

Key Requirements

  • The program supports projects that honour veterans, preserve their legacy, strengthen recognition, and improve community understanding of service and sacrifice. It also supports initiatives that bring communities together and strengthen wellbeing, inclusion, and participation.

  • Applicants may submit an application for each stream where each project is distinct and separate. Projects funded under the program will not receive additional funding for the same project or later stages of the same project in future rounds.
