The Online Production Grants program supports the production of original Queensland‑made online content for public release on digital platforms. Delivered by Screen Queensland, the program funds online series across a broad range of genres, including scripted and factual content. Grants of $50,000 and $100,000 are available through a competitive assessment process, with applicants retaining full ownership of their intellectual property.
The program is open to Queensland above‑the‑line practitioners at all career stages and supports projects designed to connect with clearly defined online audiences. Projects must demonstrate strong creative merit, a capable team, and a considered strategy for audience engagement and release.
Key Requirements
- Support Queensland creatives: Projects must involve Queensland above‑the‑line practitioners and support career development across experience levels.
- Audience engagement: Applicants must identify a clear target audience and demonstrate a strong plan to reach that audience online.
- Creative quality: Applications are assessed on the quality of the creative materials and the strength of the project team.
- Platform suitability: Projects must be well suited to their intended online platform(s) and publicly accessible to Australian audiences.
- Co‑funding for larger grants: Applicants to the $100,000 stream must demonstrate secured co‑funding equal to 50% of the grant amount.
