QLD Skilling Queenslanders for Work – Work Skills Traineeships

This program supports disadvantaged Queenslanders into employment through paid work placements and nationally recognised traineeships. Funding supports community based projects that combine training with real work experience to improve job readiness. The program forms part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

- Projects must lead to recognised skills development or employment pathways
- Activities must have a visible and lasting community impact
What is eligible for funding?
- Paid traineeships aligned to nationally accredited training
- Community work placement projects delivering public benefit outcomes
- Training and employment support linked to work placement delivery
What companies are eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants include not for profit community based organisations and local councils registered for GST. Applicants must demonstrate experience delivering services in the location where the project will operate and the ability to support participants throughout the traineeship or work placement.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
How can I increase my chances of winning this grant?

- CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) cost-benefit analysis
- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
