Early Interventions Grants – Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) – 2026
- Total funding pool: $1,797,000 (non‑recurrent) for up to 3 projects over 3 years
- Grant period: 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029 (with a possible extension of up to 2 years, subject to funding)
- Evaluation: Project budgets must include a minimum $40,000 per project for evaluation funding
This grant supports early intervention pilot programs to work with boys and young men aged 12 to 25 who are starting to use intimate partner violence. Funding supports targeted interventions that improve safety, build accountability, and strengthen collaboration between universal services, specialist DFSV services and Aboriginal community‑controlled organisations in the Northern Territory.
Key Requirements
- Projects must deliver early intervention for boys and young men aged 12 to 25 starting to use IPV.
- Activities must be designed and delivered with victim survivor safety at the centre and include an approach to accountability.
- Projects must be delivered in the Northern Territory and contribute to sector learning through evaluation
What is eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants must be either:
- A universal service based in the NT with a demonstrated partnership with a specialist DFSV service, or
- A specialist DFSV service based in the NT.
Funding cannot be used for:
- Government‑led projects, commercial or business projects, or retrospective costs.
What companies are eligible for funding?
Funding is available to organisations only that are physically located and actively operating in the Northern Territory, and meet the program’s service type requirements.
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
