The First Nations Innovation Acceleration Program QLD supports established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Queensland that are ready to scale through investment grants up to $100,000. It also provides funding and advisory services to help businesses pursue innovation, take calculated risks, and grow sustainably.
Key Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a First Nations-owned business established and operating in Queensland
- Have been operating for 2+ years
- Is profitable and meet minimum sales revenue requirements
- Be currently developing an innovative product or service
- Be seeking advisory support and possible funding to accelerate innovation
What is eligible for funding?
Funding can be used for:
- Impact investment grants to accelerate business growth
- Costs of essential business strategic advisory services, including legal, finance, marketing, mentoring, and grant/tender writing
What companies are eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants include:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses based in Queensland
- Businesses that are established and looking to scale
- Businesses focused on innovation and growth
Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?
Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.

- Stakeholder relations and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Any other relevant forecasting that will support your application
