Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan (CPCP) Caring for Country (Round 2)

The CPCP Caring for Country Aboriginal Business Development Grant supports Aboriginal-owned businesses to build capacity and become tender-ready for opportunities linked to the Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan in Western Sydney.

The program aims to promote Aboriginal culture, knowledge, and economic participation, ensuring Aboriginal businesses are well-placed to benefit from CPCP implementation over the next three decades.

Key Requirements

  • Project must align with CPCP objectives and build business capacity/capability
  • Applicants must attend a mandatory one-on-one session with a Yarpa Business Coach
  • Must provide quotes for all proposed purchases, budget summary, proof of Aboriginal business status, tax and legal compliance evidence, insurance certificates, and details of training/certification providers (if relevant)
  • Progress reports every 3 months and a final report within two months of project completion or by 30 September 2026

  • Training and upskilling
  • Certification and licensing for businesses and employees
  • Buying or upgrading equipment and non-material assets
  • Creating educational materials for schools and community
  • Specialised business support services

What companies are eligible for funding?

  • At least 50% Aboriginal owned, managed, and controlled businesses
  • Must have an ABN, be GST-registered, and trading for at least 2 years
  • Located in or operating within the CPCP area*
  • Working in eligible sectors such as land management, ecological restoration, environmental assessment, cultural heritage, pest management, landscaping, biodiversity services, cultural tourism, education, and wildlife fencing

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
