WA Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund – Small Grants

  • Applications Open:  This program is open on an ongoing basis.
  • Grants: between $5,000 and $100,000

The program seeks to provide cash assistance to community groups and local governments to develop basic infrastructure for recreation and sport .

Key Requirements

The eligible applicant is required to meet the main criteria include:

  • Potential to increase physical activity

What is eligible for funding?

The eligible applicant activities include:

  • Practice wickets and cricket pitch
  • Various planning studies to a maximum grant amount of $25,000
  • Safety fences for sport and recreation facilities.
  • Storage upgrades
  • Change rooms refurbishments
  • Water collection systems, large scale dams, and pipelines for distribution (maximum grant offered is $60,000)
  • Small floodlighting projects
  • Court surface conversion

What companies are eligible for funding?

To be eligible, the applicants must:

  • Have ABN.
  • Either a local government or recreation, a not-for-profit sport,  or community organisation incorporated under the WA Associations Incorporation Act 1987

Is this grant competitive or entitlement based?

Competitive. Your application will be assessed among other applications by a judging panel.
